Miscellaneous

  • SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE BUNGALOW
  • Children are welcome at the cottage although parents should be aware that the garden is unfenced at the front, with open access to the road. A stream also runs adjacent to the property.
  • Power supply for heating, hot water and cooking is all electric. £5.00 of electricity is included in your weekly tariff. Additional tokens can be purchased locally.
  • Payphone is available in the cottage.
  • Ample car parking is also available for use..
  • Provisions - a starter pack can be arranged, please ask for details. The island's economy & sustained way of life benefits greatly from the purchase of local produce & services, so if at all possible please buy locally, and not at your home super-market. Wait till you get here you'll be amazed at what you find!

  • Dogs may be accepted by prior arrangement. Well behaved and responsibly managed dogs are welcome on the understanding that owners respect the furnishings inside and the surrounding croft & livestock.
In a crofting area surrounded by sheep it is essential to keep dogs on a lead at all times. Don't overestimate your dog's obedience ; a dog can be shot if found disturbing livestock and although there are wide open and seemingly empty spaces, an unleashed dog is also a danger to wildlife.
  • Inside the bungalow please respect the furnishings - clean off mud before coming inside and don't allow dogs on the chairs or beds.
