Stein InnEating out

Places in which to eat out abound all over the island, from fine-dining restaurants & hotels, to tea-rooms & cafes. The nearest restaurants to the cottage are a mere stone's throw away at Stein. Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant and also The Stein Inn.

Local food

Local produce is to be found in shops & restaurants as well as at the croft gate and local produce markets. Skye is renowned for its shell fish, traditional home baking, preserves and sweets, summer fruit & vegetables. The island's economy & sustained way of life benefits greatly from the purchase of local produce & services, so if at all possible please buy locally, and not at your home super-market. Wait till you get here you'll be amazed at what you find! Watch out for locally advertised craft fairs and “The Great Taste of Skye & Lochalsh” food festival, usually held at the end of July.

Dunvegan Country Market 1st Wednesday of every month. Dunvegan Community Hall - local crafts and fresh produce.
